Great speakers for the price. Sound is better than stock. I put these in my girlfriends civic, she never cranks the volume, and these are not amplified. They are only receiving 50w each at most, probably not even that. Yet one of them started crackling lately, it is most likely blown. Good thing i have a speaker repair guy, who can repair it for real cheap other wise this review would be a lot more critical. Since the speakers should not blow within the first month or so of being installed, and only being powered by the head unit.

I would suggest going with Powerbass/diesel audio instead of these MB Quart, if you want quality speakers for cheap that will not blow and will handle way more power.

Upon Reading the previous Rating, I decided to test it out.
I Now Have a Legacy 300 Watt Amp powering these 6x9 MBQuarts in the kick panel and 5x7 MBQuarts in the rear and they Rock!
All of these parts replaced my previous aftermarket speaker components. I had cheap Jensen 6x9s and PowerBass 5x7s until one blew and my Crunch USA amp was dying after years of abuse. My new setup brought life back to my little pickup and I would do it all over 100 times. I love the clarity, range and volume that I can crank out with only 75watts peak per speaker. makes me wonder what they would sound like with more power!...Legacy 1000w amp might be my next upgrade.
