When I was looking around for a bed for my new mattress we wanted one that was going to free up some space in our bedroom as well, I know some people have complained about the size of the drawers but they were actually bigger than the dresser drawers that they were replacing in my case.
Was fairly easy to build, probably took me and my brother, 1 - 1 1/2 hrs to build which for the size of the bed isn't bad.
Really sturdy, I am a bigger guy (6'4", 400 lbs) and I was worried about breaking the slats or the fact that it was pressed wood but so far so good. Would definately recommend this to anyone, great design.

I've owned this bed for just under a year, and the entire thing is falling apart. The drawers are cheaply made. It is just a cheap bed, now I'm back to spend more money on a different base. DON'T BUY THIS BED.

It took my husband & I several hours to put the bed together. If you follow the directions & are good at interpreting drawings, it should turn out ok. The holes were aligned well for the hardware to be installed. We've been sleeping on it for a couple weeks now & don't have any complaints. The bed doesn't move around and there isn't any squeeks or rattles. The drawers aren't made to hold much weight. Don't expect to store king size sheet sets or books in the drawers without the bottom of the drawers sagging. I think this bed is a good bargain for the price. We live in a 2-story house and could only get full size mattress & box springs up the steps. This bed and a foam mattress allowed us to upgrade to a king size bed.
