Learning to use any new piece of technology can be an exciting and frustrating process. I bought this to replace an old on/off style rice cooker that we have had for 7+ years. I followed the directions for making brown rice, measuring both the rice and the water carefully. I placed everything into the cooker, plugged it in and started pressing buttons. I had a blinking red light for "On" and "Brown Rice" was selected, but I wasn't sure it was working. I checked a half-an-hour later and the cooker was still cold. This time, pressing the On/Off button started the cooking process. I ignored the cooker until the rest of dinner was ready. When I checked it, I found lots of water on the counter around the cooker and signs that either water or steam had run down the face of the cooker. The rice was OK, neither burned nor soggy. There will definitely be a learning curve as I continue to use this for various types of rice and different recipes. I bought this unit because of the Delay Timer (I still need to test this) and the keep-warm feature. The keep-warm feature has worked fine so far.

I used this item only twice and it went dead!!!!
How could they make something like this? Have they heard anything about quality control?
Contacted the local representative of the company which is 50 miles away from my home and I think
I have to pay half the price that paid for this junk to sent it for repair.
